Sitter in Henderson, Nevada

I am a 31 year old, married, mother of four children. I have three young men and one little lady. My children are all older, the oldest being 13 and the youngest being 9. My husband and I have been married for almost 14 years now and he has worked the whole time. Now that our kids are older we have decided that he needs to go back to school so he can excel in his career. I have worked off and on as a CNA/caregiver for the elderly for the last 8 years, but since the schedule for caregivers is not stable enough for my family I have decided that being a sitter would be better. A little about myself; I am from an LDS home and am the youngest of six children, born and raised in Washington State. I was married at 18 and had two children by the age of 19, then had four at the age of 23. We Moved to the Henderson area about a year and a half ago and have loved every day of it. My husband and I are easy going people and don’t get stressed easily. We have a 12 year old chocolate lab/Chesapeake mix. She has been with us since the beginning and understands her place around children. She is mostly a breathing rug. Our house is on the small side but we make it work. We do however have two bathrooms so life isn’t too hard. I got to be a stay at home mom for most of the time my children were home and I know how important it is for someone to be there. I have never had to use a daycare for which I am grateful for. I know how terrified I would be if I had to drop my children off with a bunch of strangers every day. Plus the uncertainty of how your child is being taken care of while you are away. I know that raising children is the most important thing you will do in your life and that it is something you have to think about every second of the day and when circumstances make it to where you are unable to take care of them yourself, it is imperative that you find someone like-minded and trustworthy to help you out.
