Hey! Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit more about me! I am recently graduated (May 2020) and married (Feb. 2020), and have moved back to my home town of Erin, TN, for a while to let things settle down with the virus. My personality: I am a gentle person who is vey sensitive to the needs of others. I am organized and take great care to accomplish that which has been asked of me. I also enjoy being silly and easy going, quick to adjust to a change of plans. My family and friends: My mom is a kindergarten teacher and so is my grandmother. I've been raised by people who love to nurture and teach children, and have had the opportunity to do the same with different nannying and nursery jobs throughout my life. My father was a chef during the early years of my life, and taught me to love food and cooking. I have one brother and two step siblings, as my parents are divorced. I have a lot of international friends from university and treasure the unique perspective each of them bring. My friends are very important to me, and my life is greatly enriched by their presence. My education: I just graduated university in May 2020 in the United States, with a Bachelor's of Arts in Human Services (social work) and minor in Applied Psychology. I have taken some health and nursing related courses in health assessment, pharmacology, and human development throughout the life span. I have lived in Spain and can offer basic Spanish education to your children. My free time: I am a certified yoga teacher (200 hr) and love to move and dance. I really enjoy doing anything outdoors. In my free time, I paint with water color, hike, and journal. My experience: During high school (2012-20...) I babysat for 3 or 4 different families throughout the year. I was payed to work at the childcare facility of my church twice a month with newborn-toddlers. At the same church I had the opportunity to lead a small group for middle school aged girls for 2 years and accompany them as their camp counselor at middle school retreats. Secondly, I volunteered in the afternoons at an elementary school for one year in a kindergarten classroom. During university, I worked as a nanny for a family with one child who has a sensory disorder. (1 year) Twice per week I would pick him up from preschool (age 4) and care for him until his parents returned from work. These duties included play, snack time, and enrichment. Alongside this, (two years) I have worked as an administrative assistant and care-coordinator for a nonprofit that works with men recovering from drug and alcohol abuse. I also worked as their house cleaner, cleaning every Friday from 12-4:30 pm.
