Nice to meet you! My name is Desiree. I'm hoping to find a babysitting provider job in Las Vegas, Nevada. I promise to be seasoned person. My availability is flexible. I have experience caring for children from infancy through 12 years old. I have a 6-year old boy of my own, and I absolutely adore motherhood! I am very tender, caring, and compassionate - however, I also understand the lasting effect discipline and learning has for children; as well as the manners in which to take those actions. My son could use the interaction, and I would love the opportunity to continue teaching more! I have practically morphed my siblings into who they are now, and still I continue babysitting them to this day while my mother works! I have babysat for my sisters' aunt as well - she has an infant. My siblings are 6, 7, 11.... They are not so adaptive to following directions, so I have to use more strict structure with them. For example, my 16 year old brother does not like going to school some days, so we take away his video games, make him do homework, and take away something he really wants. He is in ROTC currently. My youngest brother, he is 7 - has ADHD & has temper tantrums where he gets very angry and tries to hurt himself. He also watches YouTube a bit too much, and does not like to have it taken away. For him, we use busywork. I make him do homework, play with toys or go outside instead of YouTube, color, and help me with tasks around the household! We have fun with these things. For discipline, I like to use homework, timeouts, and my "starboard." **My starboard is simply a white board. I use "star" stickers and all I do is write the things kids WILL NOT do in order to receive a prize at the end of the week. Its very effective with small children especially. Services And Training: I have experience with date night supervising, overnight care, and swimming supervision. Further, I are comfortable working with sick children. Again, my youngest brother has ADHD and has to receive 3 different medications right before bedtime typically as prescribed by his physician. With respect to prior experience, I have over 10 years of experience. I am also CPR certified and am currently taking Child Care courses with the Las Vegas Clark County Library District.
