Hi there, My name is Papy and I am have recently graduated from my undergraduate degree at Western University. I am currently taking some time off to work before I return to school for my master’s degree. I am looking for full or part-time positions starting immediately! Though I am not looking for a live in position, I am able to stay over nights on occasion if need be! Over the course of the last 8 years, I have gained extensive experience in working with and caring for children ranging in ages from 2 months to 14 years old. Previously, I have occupied regular baby-sitting poisons, tutoring positions, and weekend long to week-long overnight camp supervising positions. Additionally, I have continuously volunteered at organizations that work to make the arts (music, dancing, theatre, writing, crafting, visual arts) accessible to underprivileged children; the arts were an incredibly important part of my life growing up, and I truly believe that regular engagement in them fosters creativity and emotional intelligence. My strengths include the following: I am reliable, mature, experienced, and responsible I am fun, outgoing, excitable, and enthusiastic I have worked really hard to hone my ability to balance being a fun, lively caregiver, and still maintaining the necessary level of authority I enjoy engaging the children I care for in fun little projects such as crafts, writing, planting, experimenting, baking I love holidays- they are my favourite- so I like to tailor some of our activities to the season we are in or the holiday we are approaching I am an experienced cook/baker and would be able to cater to your children's dietary needs I love to read to/with children under my care Pending the approval of the parents/guardians (as well as the weather), I enjoy taking the children under my care on little outdoor adventures (walks, scavenger hunts, the park) I am able to provide exceptional academic support to elementary level students in all areas of their studies Thus far, I have cared independently for families who have up to three children, and successfully managed that without a problem. However, there were times when the children invited a friend or two over, and with advanced notice, I was able to plan for that accordingly. I have no problem with pets, and am able to care for them as well if needed. Growing up, I had two dogs and a bunny, and cared for them regularly.
