My name is Tessa. I have years of experience with children of all ages in various capacities-public and private. I earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and moved on to earning a master's. I am a very creative woman who loves working with her hands. My experience with children began as a teenager when I served in church under the guidance of the youth leaders. My formal education came during my young adult years followed by a couple years of teaching in the public school system. In addition to working in a couple daycare centers and church youth departments, I have also substituted and am a big part of the lives of my nephew and nieces. I am looking for summer work through the month of September. What I enjoy the most about being around children is their openness and forwardness. I have had numerous amusing moments when a child has said something funny, cute, or thoughtful. I believe in helping prepare children for independence and in my position as a trustworthy, positive role model. As mentioned above, I love working with my hands and I spend a lot of my free time doing a craft or other DIY project. I am also an avid reader and some of my other hobbies include listening to music, watching TED Talks, watching documentaries, and cooking.
