I'm an
Individual
Hi! I'm Jacqueline, a freshman at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (though I am taking exclusively online classes). I'm an energetic nanny and babysitter, with 1 year of nanny experience and 5 years of babysitting experience. I care for infants up to elementary ages, during the workday, weekends, and summer/winter breaks. I'm effective at creating fun, engaging activities to meet educational needs, while demonstrating priority in children’s safety and well-being. Endorsed by previous parents as a responsible, caring babysitter who goes out of the way to create a safe, yet stimulating environment for kids. With previous families, I have been responsible for ensuring infants are fed, clothed, and bathed, designing fun and educational activities, teaching baby sign language, driving the kids to museums, basic pet care, light housekeeping, and enforcing daily and nighttime routines. It is my goal to establish positive relationships with your kids through engaging activities and personal connections. I value developing a fun, screen-free activity schedule to keep the kids engaged. We can brainstorm activities together, such as sensory bins and out of house adventures, to make the perfect blend for your family. Eventually, I will create these calendars on my own weekly. I have recently rekindled my passion for baking over quarantine, and would love to share that with your kids by incorporating baking monthly! I have a flexible schedule, as I am taking exclusively online classes. I am more than happy to drive the kids to parks and outdoor museums for socially distanced adventures! I love getting outdoors every day and will get the kids out of the house whether that’s in the neighborhood on a walk or in the backyard for their daily dose of sunshine while creating some space in your work-from-home environment. Finally, I am CPR and First Aid certified for infants and toddlers. I look forward to hearing from you soon, and hope to work with you! *I would like to note that I take COVID precautions very seriously. I am an avid mask wearer and partaker in social distancing. My family and I do not visit closely with people outside of our pod.

Jacqueline Rice was an amazing and thoughtful baby sitter! My husband and I used her frequently for our 14-month old daughter and our 3 year old son. She made a weekly schedule of activities and plans to get the kids out the house every week of the summer. The kids loved “miss Jackie” dearly because she was “so fun!” She has been nothing but great to our family and has gone above and beyond to meet our kid’s socio-emotional and educational needs by planning engaging  activities and forming genuine connections. My personal favorite things she’s done for my kids are reading new books to my 14-month old every two days so she is learning new words and baking kid-friendly recipes with  my 3 year old son. She is extremely responsible and by far the most trustworthy sitter we’ve ever had.
