Hello, my name is Lisa! I just moved to Northwest Arkansas after living in NYC for 8 years. I worked as a full-time nanny in Manhattan and Brooklyn, navigating public transit with strollers and baby gear, often in inclement weather. I made the move to New York City after graduating from Hendrix in 2013, where I indulged my loves for language, literature, and ancient history by getting a degree in Classics. For four and a half years I worked as a full-time nanny in Manhattan for two attorneys, one of whom works from home. I began working for them when their daughter was 6 months old and naturally shifted to working primarily with their son when he was born two years later. My following and most recent position also began when my charge was 6 months old, and I was her nanny for 3 years, including this past year during the pandemic when both parents worked from home. I am extremely proud of the work I have done for both families and the experience I have gained, and I am ready to continue on in my professional journey! I am currently looking for occasional or regularly scheduled babysitting jobs, especially weekend or overnight babysitting. As the second of five, I have been surrounded by children my entire life. I love to laugh and smile, but I am also diligent about rules and safety. I am energetic, flexible, and affectionate. I love going for walks and adventures, playing outside, attending classes and play dates, visiting indoor play spaces, reading books (I do tons of silly voices and accents and have dozens of classics memorized), and working on new skills. I have a car and would happily take children on outings. I work to keep the youngest of children engaged in what is available without screens. I am familiar with developing and/or implementing sleeping and eating schedules and I have experience handling formula and breast milk and preparing pureed baby food, and I can also prepare meals and snacks for older children. I try very hard to be a team player and to accommodate the morals, attitudes, and values that are most important to the parents to have instilled in their baby. I take and share dozens of photos each day and love to provide parents with detailed anecdotes from the day. I follow instruction well and take gentle criticism with ease.
