Sitter in Russell, Ontario

My name is Beth and I am from Russell, Ontario. I am currently in my second year of the Early Childhood Education program at St. Lawrence College in Kingston. I will be graduating in April 2017 and registering with the College of Early Childhood Educators. I have worked as a Program Assistant in a licensed child care centre since September 2013. As a program assistant, I assisted in the implementation of program plans on a daily basis, executed appropriate behaviour management techniques, supervised groups of 10-12 children, and acted on occasion as an Educational Assistant for students with special needs. Throughout high school I worked in the before & after-school care program and then worked full-time throughout the summer months. This past summer, I changed positions to become a Special Education Assistant in the kindergarten classroom. As the Special Education Assistant, I provided one-on-one attention to student with special needs while maintaining overall focus on the entire group. I have experience working with children ranging from ages 2-12 years old, and am comfortable working with any age group! I have always had a passion for working with children and hope to continue in this work after I graduate from my program in Kingston!
