Hi! I just graduated Augustana College this past month. I majored in Biology and Psychology for Occupational Therapy. My goal in the future is to work with special needs kids that need Occupational Therapy. I am a peer mentor at Augustana, work for Sports Medicine and also volunteer my time at nursing homes. I also attend Harvest Bible Chapel Palos, which is a Christian church. I am CPR and First Aid certified and would love to work with children of any age. I have babysat for a couple families with younger children and would love to continue doing that. I am very organized and punctual with my time and things. I am flexible with my schedule, but would like to have an idea about the hours I will be working each week. I am hard working, passionate and enthusiastic about everything I do. I follow directions as I am told and am willing to help with other tasks beyond caring for the children. However, I understand how important it is that all of my attention is on the kids. For this reason, I will also never invite others over or even be on the phone while I am babysitting. In addition, I can help care for pets and will also clean up the potential mess that is made while I am there with your children. I can help with homework and prepare basic meals for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Most importantly, I am excited to play and talk with your children, and learn all about them! I love art and crafts, going to the park, going to the zoo, etc. I also have a car and am willing to drive your family around if need be! I am specifically looking for a family who needs lots of help with their children during the summertime until I go back to school; however, I will be attending UIC in the fall so I can potentially babysit during the school year. I am willing to even take the kids out of the house (to the pool or on other small day trips since summer can be a boring time for some kids).
