I love working with children! In fact, I enjoy it so much that I went to school to become a teacher. I have both my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Elementary Education. Throughout my collegiate careers, I obtained a GPA of about 3.8. I made the Dean’s List every semester and was inducted into Pi Mu Epsilon (Mathematic Honor Society), Phi Kappa Phi (National Honor Society), and Kappa Delta Pi (International Education Honor Society). Additionally, during my undergrad I was able to become Sheltered English Immersion endorsed. I have easily spent over 100 hours inside a classroom; whether I was just observing or teaching a unit. I have taught in almost every grade level therefore I can assist your child/children with homework or any area in which they may struggle. In fact, after completing my student teaching, the school I was in hired me for a long-term sub position and then again as a Reading and Math Assistant for English Language Learners; which is my current position. Therefore, I do obtain an Educators License. For my previous employment that involved working with children, I was a babysitter for both family and friends. I have also worked at Great Expectations Daycare and for Naugatuck Park and Rec as a camp counselor and supervisor. Throughout these jobs, I provided high quality child care and was responsible for meals, recreation, and social events. I continuously cared for the children’s needs and safety. I organized and engaged the children in recreational activities along with creating detailed reports that outlined each child’s activities. Furthermore, I created and executed events and games for two summer camps to participate in. I mediated conflicts between children and served as a resource and role model for them. I was readily available to respond to their needs and concerns. All in which I can do for your children just as effortlessly. Throughout my internship, student teaching, and previous jobs one thing remained steady, I had a wonderful rapport with the children. Throughout all of my evaluations I had many strong suits, but the relationship I created with the children always stood out to my administration. My passion for helping children grow, learn, and ultimately become successful is strong and I guarantee I will do my best to help your children reach these outcomes.
