Sitter in Dillon, South Carolina

My name is Brandie Buckner. I am 22 years old and just recently graduated Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. I currently work at the Conway Recreation Center where I am a Membership Associate and work in child care. Working with children all day is my true passion, That is why i am currently looking for a baby sitter job or a nanny type position. While working in child care I babysit children between 6 months to 12 years old. During the time that the parents are working out I play games with the children, watch movies with the children, do art & crafts, feed them snack, and take them too the bathroom when needed. Over the summer I worked at a 10 week summer camp program as a counselor. During this program I helped other counselors watch between 80-100 children everyday. During camp we went on field trips, went to the movies, went swimming, played outside at the park, played games, made arts & craft activities, had snack time, and feed the children lunch everyday. While I was in college I was part of a mentoring program for 2 years. While in the program I was assigned a child in 2nd grade that needed help with social skills. My job was to visit her 2-3 times a week for at least an hour and get her out of her comfort zone. This consisted of me getting her to talk more, play at recess with people other than herself, talk to her classmates in the classroom and at lunch, and talking to her teacher to let her know what she needed instead of sitting in class not saying a word. I am also comfortable with pets so working in a house that has pets is not a problem for me because I have a dog of my own. Aside from babysitting I can keep the house clean, do laundry, cook meals, drive kids to activities, help with homework, put kids down for nap or bedtime, play games with the children, and do arts & crafts with the children.
