Hello there! 👋 Are you in search of a responsible and caring nanny to care for your little ones? Look no further! My name is Makayla, and I'm an experienced and energetic nanny located in Wyoming, Ontario. I am currently seeking a full-time, live-out nanny position, perfect for a family in need of summer care for their little ones. Your children/child’s well-being is my top priority. I have 7 years of babysitting experience, including meal preparation, light cleaning and caring for up to 4 children. I also have my Red Cross Babysitter’s course. As the oldest of 5 children myself, I have learned to be responsible, energetic and fun. In addition to this, I have recently started a co-op at John Knox Christian School in Wyoming. I help in their kindergarten and grade 1 classrooms, providing mentorship and encouragement. Through this I have grown passionate about stimulating educational activities, early literacy and creating bonds with both children and their communities. This has co-op has also shown me to be a quick learner and well able to maintain safe environments for young children. I also have 4 years of work experience in customer service, teaching me how to connect with co-workers and customers with a diverse range of needs and communication levels. Relevant volunteer jobs I have done include regularly helping in my church’s nursery, leading Vacation Bible School programs for primary age children or helping one-on-one with a special needs child. I also volunteer at the Inn of the Good Shepherd soup kitchen in Sarnia, helping with meal prep, serving and cleaning. Some of my hobbies include playing piano (I have my level 8 from the Royal Conservatory of Music), violin, running, painting, reading, and soccer. I love spending time with my younger siblings and friends and enjoy using my talents to connect well with others. I am currently enrolled at Lambton College, set to begin an Early Childhood Education diploma, September 2024. I’m finishing my grade 12 diploma and set for an 90 average. I am asking for a minimum of $17.50/hour, however I am more than happy to chat about how we can meet your family’s expectations. My availability will start in mid-late June when I graduate, and will continue through the summer. I can work Monday-Friday full time, if needed.
