I am self motivated, fun-loving person who has a passion for working with children. I have have been working with children in a variety of capacities for many years and have a real passion for childcare child mental health, animals, and Animal Assisted Therapy. I am currently taking UVIC's Child and Youth Care Degree Program. In the past, I was the Program Coordinator of the Summerland Boys and Girls Club. I was in charge of the care and upkeep of both their Child Care programs and their Special Needs program. I also held the role of Manager of the Penticton Daycamps. This job required me to care for 20 different children, ages 5-12, 5 days a week for every week during the summer. I would plan and schedule activities, games, and crafts for the children. I swim with them every day. I am expected to deal with parents, and any problem that arises with children. I know an extensive amount of games, activities, and crafts for children to do. Some of these include professional quality face paintings, balloon animals, water games and more. I am able to deal with large groups of children, and know how to properly deal with almost any situation that were to come forward. I have my CPR-C, First Aid, Food Safe, Full class 4 license (able to drive a small bus), and a Diploma of Digital Arts (tech-savy). I also have a moderate amount of fluency in ASL. I am good with animals as well, and have no allergies. I am fully willing to try anything new, and enjoy doing so. I have references upon request.
