I've taught over 10 young children to read books at a very early age WITHOUT sending homework home with them during our Preschool & Pre-K class times but these kiddo's did attend full time, had naps daily, went to bed early at 8 or 7:30 pm so they had a huge predictable schedule which helped them learn better. Evening care would be low structure play, with having social and communications skills and no TV. I provide snacks and dinners on a planned schedule, only if your child is here during those times. Parents would sign up for the USDA food program under my license, so that the government can subsidize the food served with reimbursing me for part of the cost so I can buy nutritious foods-this program currently is free to all parents regardless of your income. The first child in a family would be $7.00 an hour and any other's would be at a discounted family rate for night and weekend care. Infants and children with special needs would be at a higher rate depending on level of care needed-all diaper and pull up children at a higher rate per hour. We're right next to 140th and Petrovitsky and just 3 houses away from Renton Park Elementary school I'm part of the Early Achievers program with being rated a level 3 (which is high for a home licensed childcare) and I'm also an ECO friendly childcare site with a certificate on the wall. I'm very much into TLC and engagement! I have a nice warm large playroom / classroom with lots of educational toys and activities. I enjoy making the children individualized portfolio's to give out yearly after there and inch thick, which can consist of their first art work, drawings, sketches and writing skills-I have it professionally bound. I'm soft spoken, with encouraging children with gentle guidance. I enjoy making your child their own special word, letter, number and shape box with one of our projects we do during the year-I love seeing their vocabulary grow daily... I do take state subsidies! (DSHS of all types and Respic care) I'm 3 houses away from Renton Park Elementary school and 3 natural nature trail next to the school also. We have an undercover play area for those really hard streamed pouring rainy days. We have two backyards play areas, one right next to the slider door and the lower yard a huge play area for kick ball and games.
