Hi, my name is Carolyn! I've been working with children for the past 15 years in various capacities. I started babysitting when I was around 12, but my professional work started in childcare centers when I was 19. First as a teacher in the infant room, then with toddlers and preschoolers. From there I became a nanny and worked with families in that role for 7 years. I'm currently entering my sixth year working in an elementary school in a program for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs. I love working with children of all ages; going on outings, creating art, doing science experiments, exploring nature, etc... I don’t shy away from challenges in the least. I have worked successfully with children with a variety of needs, including behavioral needs who have acted out violently. I am trained and certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention to handle children with behavioral needs. I also have experience working with children with ADHD, ASD, as well as many other learning disorders.
