My name is Margaux. I am 33 years old and have an expansive history of providing childcare to wonderful, loving families. I believe that a child's curiosity should be encouraged through fun, educational, active play. That natural curiosity and innate sense to want to know more about the world is one of the most wonderful attributes a child can possess. Too often today children are taught of the world in one classroom, in one school, when in actuality there are many exciting and engaging ways to share knowledge with a child and to encourage them to explore their interests. Today, many children spend an enormous amount of time in front of screens, whether they are television sets, tablets or video game systems. I highly encourage active, outdoor play and love many activities involving the outdoors such as biking, rollerblading, ice skating or hiking. I enjoy arts and crafts and love teaching children how to create. Aside from my experience providing childcare for children of all ages, during the winter I coach figure skating at a local ice arena. Coaching has taught me so much about interacting with children on an athletic level, helping to develop motor skills and confidence. I enjoy taking a difficult task and breaking it down into manageable pieces so that a child can really engage in learning without the frustration of not being able to do it perfectly the first time. I believe that children should be active and outdoors more than indoors. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful county that provides many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. With our warm seasons being so limited in length it is my belief that we should take advantage of every sunny, warm day we have! I am centrally located in the Village of Potsdam and have reliable transportation. I am energetic, eager and ready to begin a relationship with a family providing excellent care for their child or children. I believe in giving everything I do 100% and am a dependable, reliable individual.
