Hello, my name is Lindsay Peterson and I am 20 years old, currently attending Lone Star College in my sophomore year to reach my bachelors degree in early childhood education with an emphasis on special needs. Here is a little bit about me: I am from Keller, and graduated from Keller High School in 2015. In my free time, I find myself at my church, studying, and hanging out with friends. The reason I got into special education was because I was introduced to my 2 sweet step brothers. One is 10, Taylor, and the other is 14, Timmy who is special needs- non verbal, unable to be diagnosed. Timmy showed me patience, love, passion, happiness, and ultimately led me into my whole future career of special education. I absolutely adore kids and being able to work with them and play with them. I have experience with I believe every age child, as well as just about every type of child. I am now 20, but started babysitting at age 12. Since then, here is some of my experience: I babysit for my Aunt's kids who are 8, and twin girls who are 3, but have watched both of them since they were babies. I started my first official nanny job when I was in my freshman year of high school for a little girl named Maggie who was in Kindergarten. Since they moved, I found a new nanny job for over the Summer, taking care of 2 special needs twin boys named Aron (with Aspergers) and Andrew (with cerebral palsy and autism) who were 10 at the time. Once my Summer position was over, I then started nannying for a little boy named Jackson, who is also autistic, and I started watching him at 7 and he is now 9 years old. When I moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech for the fall semester of my freshman year, I nannied for a 6 month old baby boy named Henry until I moved back home. On the side just for date nights, I have babysat for quite a few families inside my neighborhood and some outside my neighborhood as well. Some of the extra babysitting experience I have is: a family with a 5 month old little boy and a 4 year old girl, a family with boy/girl twins who were 7, a family with a 5 month old infant and a 3 year old girl, a family with 2 boys ages 6 and 9. I also have experience with infants and sleep training. My most recent experience was staying overnight with twin boys who are 3 months old..
