Sitter in Queens, New York

Hello! My name is Zuri Delfosse. I'm a 25 year old, 8th grade math teacher, living in Queens. I attended SUNY Cortland for my undergrad, where I studied Mathematics Education, and I'm currently attending Relay Graduate School of Education for my graduate degree. After college I worked as a teaching assistant in Bronx River High School, where I taught Algebra and Geometry. During the summers off, I've worked at several summer camps. I started off working as a junior counselor then, senior counselor, and lastly I was a group leader. My responsibilities as a group leader involved taking care of my whole group, which included 17 six and seven year old girls, as well as my three junior counselors, communicating daily with my campers parents, and planning activities for my campers throughout the day. In 2015-201... I spent a year abroad in Australia, where I not only traveled but, also spent time as a live in nanny and babysitter. In Brisbane I was a live in nanny for a family of 3 children ages 1, 3, and 6. I was responsible for taking the 3 year old to daycare, taking the 6 year old to and from school, and taking care of the 1 year old Monday-Friday while both parents were at work. During the day the one year old and I did activities such as going to the park, the library, or staying home and playing outside. While having all of this fun, I still ensured she had her nap and ate on time. At night I prepared dinner, bathed, and had the children ready for bed by the time their parents came home. When I lived in Melbourne I continued being a live in nanny to a family of two children ages 3 and 4. All of my responsibilities were the same as my previous nanny position except this time, I was required to go away with the family on weekends to look after the children. Once this position ended, I decided to babysit part-time. I looked after three children ages 4 and 7 (twins). I brought the children to any after school activities they had then, home for dinner. I truly enjoyed all of my positions as a camp counselor, live-in nanny, and babysitter. These positions gave me excellent experience working with children! I am currently looking for a full-time summer job being a nanny/babysitter. I would be available Monday-Friday (can be available on weekends if needed) during the day.
