Hey, parents! I’m playful, artsy, crafty and somewhat obsessed with music and nature, so I get along very well with kids. I’m always learning and trying new things as well. I’m a thorough cleaner and a good vegan cook. I don't drink, smoke or spend very much time on my phone. I love teaching kids how to do things, such as making stuff, cooking, life-skills, self-sufficiency, understanding others, as well as new approaches to school work - basically everything I wished someone had taught me growing up. I speak to children as equals, but with care, as I'm mindful of the fact that the psychological impact of everything a child experiences or hears can be carried into their adult lives. The bad stuff: I struggle with mornings and crowds. I’m learning French, but I’m not conversational just yet. My first aid certificate needs to be renewed. I’m South African, but sponsorship isn’t necessary (dual-citizenship). Unfortunately this means that my childcare references are also South African, so you’d need to contact them via email or WhatsApp. Please note that $14/hr is my minimum. I may charge more if there are chores or a large number of kids. I'm vaccinated against COVID-19 and the flu. I can't risk working for anyone who doesn't take the pandemic seriously.
