Sitter in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Hello! My name is Sara. I'm 23 years old, new to Nova Scotia! I have a degree from Memorial University in Behavioural Neuroscience (several courses in child psychology and developmental psychology). I have since moved to the Halifax region to study engineering at Dalhousie University. Currently I am in my second year of civil engineering. I have copious amounts of caregiving experience. I was a nanny for the most wonderful little boy for a year (age 1-2). Additionally I volunteer semiannually at a local ballet company, helping backstage with the younger children in groups of about 10-15 at a time. Similarly, I have worked with large children groups in different settings. I volunteered at United Sunday School for over 3 years, one of those years I taught my own class of about 6 children (age 8). In addition to this, I am confident in my ability to control and entertain older children as well, I acted as a volunteer coach for my former high school's cheerleading team (about 40 girls, ages 14-17) Finally, as expected, I also have numerous babysitting hours. In other work experience, I have held many management positions, showing my level of responsibility. A couple of these jobs were held for multiple years, demonstrating my dedication and reliability. Although my schooling does take up the majority of my free time, I would be all weekends, and if my schedule approves weeknights as well.
