Hello, my name is Destiny Rodriguez. I have three years of experience as a full-time Nanny for two different families (newborn twins and toddlers.) I still maintain great relationships with the families I have worked with in the past. I have also worked a year in a professional childcare setting; allowing myself to learn new skills and strengthen the many skills I do have. I am the eldest of a large family of siblings and cousins. I've been getting babysitting experience for most of my life with all different groups. I am currently in my last year at New Jersey City University for my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Women & Gender Studies. My classes are online and won't interfere with any schedule. I have an associate's degree in Baking and Pastry Arts. I was a pastry chef at Batello in Jersey City and now co-own a catering company with my best friend. I combine my love for baking in creative activities for all ages of children. At Bright Horizons, I purchased and created nutritional lesson plans involving creating fresh and delicious snacks. I truly believe in working with parents to teach necessary milestones and accomplish goals through different fun learning activities. Every child is different and deserves individualized care to grow. I like to have sit down meetings to talk about the growth and goals of your child and keep daily records of changing, feeding, and other exciting news. Overall, I am looking to be a resource to the family. I have a very flexible schedule and available to start as soon as possible. My CPR & First Aid certification is expired but I am willing to renew on my own cost before hire.
