Sitter in Bedford, Nova Scotia

I'm John, a father of two teenagers in Bedford, and I'm currently seeking a part-time, live-out nanny position with a family in need of childcare support. As a parent, I've gained a wealth of experience from raising my daughter and son, learning how to communicate with kids, be a good listener, and engage with them as a playmate. I believe in leading by example, so I constantly strive to learn new things and stay active, knowing that children follow what they see rather than what they're told. For instance, I've been playing basketball with my son since he was five, and now he's a skilled player in the Bedford Eagles Club. I also taught him chess, though these days, he’s more likely to beat me than the other way around! Although I immigrated to Halifax two years ago and am still working on my English fluency, I’m eager to engage more with local families. My main connections have been within the Chinese community, but I see this opportunity as a chance to break out of my comfort zone. Currently, I work remotely as a software developer, mostly during the evenings, which makes me available for part-time childcare during the day.
