I have spent 20 years in the field of educating young children from pre-school - age 10. I enjoy being with children and encouraging them to explore through their curiosity and maintain their sense of wonder about the world. I believe that children need time to play, indoors and out, listen to music, make "art", dance and explore the natural world, as well as learn to garden, and become part of a family by being responsible for small chores. I am responsible but not stiff, I can be silly, huggable and fun loving yet firm and kind. I believe in Positive Discipline, consistency and redirection for young children as they learn to self manage. I recognize your child is part of a unique family, and I am flexible enough to follow the routines that you as parents wish to put in place. I will respect you, your child and traditions. I am creative and spontaneous when teachable moments arise. I am also willing to cook for the children, do their laundry, and keep their belongings organized.
