Trusted mature childcare, 6 yrs paid child care with excellent references. Retired first grade teacher here in Portage, IN where I live. 16 yrs experience in GRANDMA CARE for my 2 amazing grandkids,who are now 14 and 16. I'm very focused with the responsibility of being trusted with newborns to teens. Each age is very special. I'm punctual upon arrival. I always follow through on parental instructions. Safety and welfare of children are of utmost prioirity. Depending on age of child, I'm attentive to their needs Newborns need careful handling and nurturing. Toddlers require hands on attention and encouragement in walking,running, playing inside and outdoors to be safe and fun. Playing on the grass, picnics, observing nature, stroller walks, play at park if allowed. Indoors playing with them: coloring, painting ,play dough ,building blocks, playing music to sing and dance to. Older children like to have nanny play kickball, baseball outdoors. Indoors, they help bake cakes,cookies. They like to measure all ingredients,stir, pour into pans. Help put into oven and use the kitchen timer. My educational degrees are in Elem education, a BACHELOR and Masters. I hold a LIFE LICENSE TO TEACH GRADES K -8 IN IND. MOST RECENT LONG TERM POSITION LASTED 2 YRS. THE MOTHER WAS LAID OFF AND WANTED TO STAY HOME FULL TIME. WHEN I STARTED THE 2 CHILDREN WERE 1O MOS OLD AND 4 YRS OLD. EXCELLENT REFERENCE. THE OTHER FAMILY WAS FOR ONE YR, AS NEEDED .
