Sitter in Fayetteville, Arkansas

I grew up surrounded by kids younger than me. It was always the expectation that the children would go off and do something, and being the oldest in the group the responsibility fell on me to invent a game. It was in the basement of my uncle’s house that my creativity peaked and we played anything our environment would let us. I took the ‘play anywhere’ attitude with me whenever I babysat, I found that (strangely) parents preferred their children to be tired and/or asleep when they got home. Although I’ve never been a parent (and I think that is the PEAK of working with kids) I think I’m a good sitter--not just for my in-development dad jokes--but my patience and fun attitude. I’ve got roughly 20 cousins younger than me and I’ve been inventing games since they could crawl. I brought the evolved form of one to my nanny families house, and combined with an awning in their backyard we created the game that swept the neighborhood and culminated in an intense final round every day.
