How are you? My name is Avana Salles, I am 31 years old, from Brazil. I am looking for a live in position in the city. In Brazil I am graduated in journalism, with a MBA on Corporate Comunication. I consider myself a cult person, with cultural hobbies like reading books, watching good movies and documentaries, going to museum, I also like photography and horse riding lessons. Although I don't have college education related to children's areas, my experience with children proved that I have a strong connection with children and that was born with me, it's an aptitude. I like them a lot and they like me back. About my personality, I consider myself an outgoing and friendly person. I also have facility to adapt of all of kinds of persons and places. I am a quiet person, easy to live with and who knows how to respect the personality of each person. About my experience working with children, I have over four years of experience working with children from 5 months old to 14 years old. I was an au pair for 2 years to an amazing family in Los Angeles. I took care of a couple of twins from 11 months to 3 years old. I have a good relationship with them until now. They are my second family and they can tell you more about my work, they are available to talk. In Brazil, I was a monitor at a children's party buffet for two years, monitoring children from one year old to 16 years old. I have also been a volunteer at a children's shelter in adoption system, where I took care of 6 babies from 5 months to 3 years old. At this moment, I take horse riding lessons and currently teach children from 3 to 12 years old. It is very fun and I also supervise a 17 months baby during weekends. I come with excellent references and I can provide to you their contact. I am very patient with children and love helping them learn while also having fun. Safety is my utmost concern and I carefully monitor children when I take them on outings to the park or to museums. I understand good nutritional choices and I carefully prepare meals that are healthy for kids but that they also love to eat, I also have good references about Montessori method education.
