My name is Lissa Kristine J. I am 26 and I live in the Parsippany area of Morris County, New Jersey. I have over 16 years of experience in childcare including babysitting, working as a full-time live-in/live-out nanny, and working in daycare centers/preschools.I am currently searching for full-time employment as a nanny caring for one or more children with at least one child under the age of two. I am not interested in a short-term position with a child who will start school in the next 6 months to a year, nor am I interested in doing household chores while the children are in daycare. I am EXCLUSIVELY searching for a position caring for children- not just transporting children to daycare.I have experience with children ages 2 weeks to 16 years including groups of multiple children of the same and of different ages. In a classroom, I have worked alone with groups of children according to state ratios. In the home, my maximum has been a night babysitting eight children ranging from 1 to 10 years of age. I have experience writing lesson plans for toddlers and preschoolers. I am also passionate about American Sign Language, and am actively trying to learn more. I know over 100 signs including colors, numbers, letters, several animals, and basic everyday signs. With toddlers and preschoolers, we will focus on signs for family members, days of the week, etc. With infants and young toddlers, I focus on signs such as “eat,” “more,” “all done,” “milk,” etc. I want a position where we can go out to the library for a weekly story time, or to free/cheap events including nature walks with local homeschooling families, local community events, and even just trips to the playground or mall play area if the weather is uncooperative. On days we stay home, I plan on doing art projects, science experiments, cooking, reading, and other activities you may see in a traditional preschool environment. If caring exclusively for an infant, our days will consist of snuggles, singing, nursery rhymes, stories, and other developmentally appropriate activities including tummy time. As your child(ren) grow, the activities we do would change to fit their needs/developmental abilities. I have experience with both breastfed and formula-fed infants. I am also comfortable with cloth diapers and baby-led weaning if you choose to go those routes with your child. I am available full-time Monday through Friday until around 6pm with some flexibility to stay late occasionally. My rates are flexible and depend on the number of children, age(s) of the child(ren), and duties required. I am also available some weekends, evenings, and for on-call babysitting positions. I currently work part-time at a retail store, so I do have flexible availability for babysitting while I search for full-time employment. Thank you very much for your time.
