Hi, my name is Katharine! I am standard first aid and CPR-c certified, I have a current vulnerable sector check as well as multiple references. I have over 15 years of childcare experience. Beginning with coaching recreational gymnastics to children aged 16 months to 16 years. While in university I was a full-time nanny to five children from three different families in a nanny-share arrangement. I was responsible for the care of the children, meal preparation, and light housework, as well as creating weekly lesson plans with changing themes, crafts and activities for the weekly theme and daily outdoor trips and activities. Moreover, I had a daily journal for each child so that the parents could have a little snapshot of their child's day at the end of the day. Previously I was a Montessori preschool teacher, but have taken a step back to spend more time with my 2-year-old. I implement many elements of the Montessori method into our daily life with an emphasis on following the child, practical life activities, and ample time outdoors exploring nature. I have experience with newborns, toddlers, and primary school children, and I'm happy to provide part-time or full-time care. Additionally, I am happy to help with cooking and cleaning as required.
