I am wanting to start watching a few kids every week! I'm willing to take anything right now, working weekends or day time hours, or even just a few hours here and there if needed for transportation and such. I would love to have an in-home daycare with a few consistent kids in the near future, but until then, I need to make ends meet! My income at my current job just wont suffice for much longer, as I'm having my first little one in November. I will be going on maternity leave for 6 weeks from the daycare, but don't worry! I don't mind watching your kiddos during this time or working with the schedule that you need from me. This just means that I will have to have my own baby with me as much as possible :) I'm actually hoping to use that time to transition from working at the daycare to full time babysitting/nannying, as long as I am able to keep the bills paid. As it stands right now, I am willing to plan my daycare work schedule around yours! A little bit about me: I grew up the oldest of four children and have a rather large family so I've been around kids my entire life and have babysat for family for years. I have some special needs experience, as I have one brother with autism and another with learning disabilities, so I know the ropes and am willing to accommodate to whatever your child needs from me. I am a Christian and I don't smoke or drink. I have a 2013 Hyundai Accent so your children will be in a safe, clean vehicle if transporting! I also adore animals, so it's fine if you have pets! As I've stated before, I'm having my first kiddo in November! So I would prefer for my baby to be with me as much as possible once she's here. I currently work at a daycare as the Assistant Infant Teacher (ages 6 weeks to 18 months), but I help out regularly in the toddler and preschool classrooms as well. At my previous church, I volunteered to help my mom out in the 3 year old room every Sunday, as she was the lead teacher, so I have a ton of experience with toddlers too! I finished highschool with a 3.9 GPA, and had a 4.0 throughout the first two years of college that I have taken so far, which has given me 2 years of experience working with children while obtaining my Early Childhood Education degree. I've been in the schools and have worked with kids up through 5th grade; however, I also have younger siblings and family that are still preteen/teenagers, so I have experience with that age as well. With my own upcoming arrival, I have had to take a break from school, but I am planning on starting online classes in the very near future to receive my CDA and then finish up my degree. I'm free to work on weekends and we can discuss hours needed during the day. I typically want to stay between 6 am - 6 pm, but am willing to work with you to suit your needs! I am open to work occasional date nights or nights out as well. As far as payments go, we can work out a price and plan as needed! I love kids and I am willing to work with payments for different situations. I have been CPR and First aid certified within the past year or two; however, I will probably need to update those again soon. I'm also willing to submit to any background checks or give references from my current employer or others who know me well, if requested. If babysitting from my home, you are more than welcome to check the place out beforehand! It is extremely well kept. Since my little one is so close to being here, I will obviously have some infant/baby equipment and toys if your child is younger as well. We do have one little dog, a rat terrier named Roxy, who LOVES children and/or attention in general. There is a good sized fenced in backyard that would be available for the kiddos as well. We have some sports equipment already, but as soon as I was able to financially, I plan on purchasing some more toys that the children could play with outside, as well as arts and crafts supplies! I'm a lover of Pinterest, so I have so many ideas saved that your kids might love too. :) We have a bookshelf full of children's books, so any reading time wouldn't be an issue, and I'm also willing to help with homework as much as possible if your kiddos are older!
