Sitter in Batavia, Illinois

Application: I am an honors biology student who will graduate this May from Xavier University in Cincinnati. I will begin my Master's degree this fall at the University of Kansas. In the meantime, I will be home for the summer in Batavia from late May to mid August. I am looking for a summer daytime nannying position, but am definitely open to other babysitting options as well. Services And Training: I have been babysitting since I was 13 when I took a certified "Babysitting Course" through the Batavia Library. Besides often caring for my three younger siblings growing up, I have extensive experience babysitting for two local Batavia families, both of which had several children, including infants/toddlers. I have a particular love for education and the outdoors, and have professional experience keeping children's minds and bodies active. For two summers, I worked as an environmental educator at Creek Bend Nature Center in St. Charles, gaining experience working with children of all ages. Using proper safety technique, I led children and families on hikes throughout the Kane County area, and both designed and taught many educational nature programs in and outside the classroom. While my long-term aspiration is to be a college professor, I have a strong passion for educating people of all ages. I would love to teach your children all about the outdoors, and simply help with basic math and reading!
