Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by. My name is Jessica and I am offering in-house care guided by Montessori learning principles starting from January 2022! If you would like to interview me for casual in-home sitting before January, I would be more than happy to also accommodate that request at this time! I am a fully qualified elementary teacher from the United Kingdom and have two children (ages 3 and 4 months) of my own. We have been 'doing Montessori' at home for several years, which sparked a passion to foster the innate independence, respect and self-confidence that all young children possess. My eldest attends a Montessori Children's House in the area, therefore I would have a 2:1 care ratio! :) Whilst working in the United Kingdom, I was fully background checked in order to work with children and underwent countless safeguarding training seminars to keep the children in my care safe and healthy! I still maintain a completely clean background check and clean license. A typical day would incorporate independent learning cycles, crafting, outdoor time growing a garden and exploring nature, caring for an extremely friendly golden retriever as well as cooking and baking! All activities would be carefully planned around your child's needs and interests and communicated to you throughout the day in pictures! :) I am a firm believer in treating children with the respect that you would show adult and learning through doing as opposed to showing. I would greatly enjoy getting to know your children so that we could celebrate their interests through exciting activities.
