Ana has lived with our family for 5 months (as an au pair) but it feels like we’ve known each other for years. She will have had 2 years of childcare experience in the US by the time she’s available in Feb 17, 2021. With our kids she is warm, loving, creative, patient, fun and truly loves being with them - our very own Brazilian Mary Poppins!!! She loves getting down on the floor and getting into whatever imaginary world they are creating, or taking them out to be active in parks. They absolutely love her and see her as a fun big sis - however, she also enforces our rules with them as needed - firmly yet gently. She’s also responsible for their meals, laundry, keeping their playroom and rooms organized and tidy, arranging play dates and taking them outdoors to the park - honestly I don’t know how I’d have made it through 2020 without her. With us - she’s respectful, always open to feedback, always punctual and constantly looking to do all she can to be helpful while she’s working. She loves to cook and we often cook family dinners together and introduce each other to different foods and traditions. She is very respectful and cautious with COVID rules. She is a determined and hard working girl who loves life and lives every moment. She’s truly amazing - a real JOY to be around, a part of our hearts forever - any family would be lucky to have her in their lives. Ana has worked as our family au pair since July. We were without anyone for 9 months, and I can’t possibly imagine how! She will be sincerely missed when she leaves us. Ana is a lovely, genuine and honest person. She cares for our two children, ages 7 and 4, like they were truly her family. She doesn’t get defensive when receiving any constructive feedback. She listens and makes changes as appropriate. She has a very warm and open personality. She can be silly with the kids (and us!), or she can just roll up her sleeves to get stuff done when it’s required — and she never complains or exhibits any passive aggressive behaviors.
