Hello! My name is Alyssa and I am looking to add 1-2 children ages 0-5 years to my in home child care program. I am a stay at home mother who invested in a home school preschool curriculum for my own daughter and have been caring for other children as a way to help socialize her. I have found that I love using the program with multiple children and my daughter and other children have benefited from having their peers engage in the same activities. I worked in a day care and as a nanny before becoming a mother so I have extensive experience with children. I use a preschool curriculum provided by Funshine Express that ships out every other month. The program focuses on 2 colors, 1 letter, 1 shape and 2 general concepts per month. For example in September we are working on blue and orange, the letter "O," circles, as well as homes and farms. The program outlines daily activities which include many crafts, so artwork will frequently be coming home. My home is full of art stations and toys that inspire creativity and abstract thinking. I utilize music to help reinforce the concepts we work on. I am also a certified sign language instructor. I am not fluent, but I am licensed to teach sign language to children, parents and professionals. I have an expansive vocabulary that I will use to teach your children. I provide healthy lunch and snacks daily as well as a quiet nap area. I have a large back area to explore messy outside activities. I do not charge an hourly rate, rather a flat fee based on the amount of time your child will be with me. This allows you to be more flexible with pick-up and drop off times if necessary.
