Hi, my name is Ms. S. I am a highly qualified childcare provider and early childhood educator. I have been working within the field for 10yrs with children aging 6wks-2nd grade. Yes, I do have over 200 hours of DPW childcare trainings, a degree in early childhood education, CPR/first aid certification and fire safety certification. My goal is to introduce preschool age children (3-5yrs old) to hands on early learning experiences that will assist them with language, literacy, social/emotional, cognitive and physical development. Children will be introduced to working with others to complete tasks, think critically by asking and answering who, what, when, where and why questions. As a teacher I will be encouraging and allowing your children to be creative, solve real life situations independently, ask for help, assisting them as needed and promoting them to be themselves at all times. Areas of Concentration/Development • Literacy (sentence structure, punctuations, sight words and beginning reading skills) • Handwriting (practicing writing alphabet, numbers and full name) • Phonics (identifying letters, letter sounds, upper/lowercase letters) • Mathematics (Identifying numbers, number words, counting by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s and 10’s, identifying units of money) • Science (human body, species, habitats, etc.) • Arts and Crafts (identifying colors through paintings, portraits of the things around them, building, molding, etc.) • Movement (Dancing and sports)
