I am a mom to 3 incredible special needs kiddos ages 11 years, 8 years, and 3 years. Experience includes raising them, researching symptoms, diagnoses, parenting strategies and more. Also being hands on in all their various medical, educational and therapy appointments and learning. I also moderate support groups to help parents with newly diagnosed children navigate the system to get their children the help they need. Up until 4 years ago I did all of this as a single mom :) I Take pride in watching kids learn and seeing the world from their perspective and playing being silly and letting them relax and enjoy being kids especially if they’re learning. Recently my husband and I decided to switch roles so that he could learn more about the kids and spend more time with them and Im finishing my Pediatric Occupational Therapy Bachelors degree online and am eager to meeting new families. Education/Experience/Background I’ve been babysitting, nannying, pet sitting/boarding/ walking, providing elder and special needs care, house keeping, tutoring, providing transportation and errand running for going on 20 years. I have educational history in nursing, child development, psychology and now pediatric occupational and sensory therapy. I have had hands on experience for over 11 years with my 3 kids with disabilities ranging from autism, asthma, life threatening allergies, ADHD, along with many more. I have always had multiple pets. I’m hardworking, reliable, honest, creative, patient and compassionate and love working with kids and adults (especially those with special needs/ disabilities and the elderly, as well as all animals . I have been volunteering at animal shelters, retirement homes, mentoring, tutoring helping with test prep, cooking meals and providing hot meals to the homeless since I was 18. I also help other special needs parents with challenges with schools, obtaining services, and provide guidance and support.
