Kasey is an especially mature and compassionate individual whom I've had the privilege of getting to work with and know for the past year. I met Kasey through the Palouse Teen Council peer-education program, of which I became the facilitator for in July 2017. Kasey was always present and on-time for weekly meetings and any programming that we had scheduled, and was among the teens of the group who had clocked the most hours of outreaches and presentations. Upon graduating high school, Kasey continued to work with our agency as a trained crime victim advocate and violence prevention education intern, where she has been providing invaluable support with client advocacy, and development and implementation of lesson plans and activities for both youth and adults. Specifically, I know from both observation and feedback that she was able to be a positive, supportive presence to middle school youth during our summer camp. I appreciate Kasey's passion, enthusiasm, and communication skills, and the work that she has done and continues to do for our community.
