Hello! My name is Lana and I am a licensed English teacher in Ohio (grades 7-12). I offer over 20 years of working with a wide array of children and adults. I am a professional, compassionate, responsible individual who believes that children don't care how much a person may know until they know how much a person cares. It is important to me that any child I work with is comfortable and knows that I am there to support and help them in appropriate ways. I am adept at creating appropriate and professional relationships with individuals of all ages. It happens that I love children and teens but I decided to take a leave of absence from teaching because I teach children, not to a multiple choice exam. I have professional and personal references as well as an electronic copy of my license with BCI check; I am certainly able to help with homework in English--I possess my MA in English, Japanese--I have a BA in Japanese and lived in country for several years, ACT and SAT test prep, history, science but most likely not math ? I also offer eight years of teaching on the colliegate level and can assist with college essays and applications. I love helping young people use their imagination and I sincerely believe that every child is able to achieve.
