Hi everyone!!! My name is Alia. I am currently in my third year at Laurier university studying psychology. I love working with kids and have many years of experience. I have been a first-aid certified nanny and babysitter since I was 11 and I have recently redone my first-aid / CPR credentials, so I am up to date with my qualifications. In addition, I can provide a background check if needed. I worked at a daycare for a couple of years until Covid came along :(. Last summer, I worked at WSIB as a customer service representative to build my customer service skills and discover other work avenues. After working at WSIB, I realized that working with kids is my passion and something I want to pursue in some way or another after my undergrad. I currently volunteer at an elementary school in Waterloo, teaching grade 1's how to read. I really enjoy the experiences I have there and the satisfaction of knowing that I am helping little people accomplish big milestones.
