It provides a small secure environment for children during the most important time of their development. Family child care offers a home away from home, providing children with “siblings” of all ages, to play, socialize, and learn from. My goal in providing quality child care for your child is to provide… - A safe environment - A nurturing loving environment - A learning environment… learning is not necessarily the ABC’s and 123’s, but is also the learning of values. The learning of honesty, respect, self–reliance, and potential, self-discipline, and moderation, the values of being; dependable, love, sensitivity to others, kindness, friendliness and fairness are the values of giving. I also provide the following: -Weekly meal plans and monthly calendars are provided. -I provide quality homemade snacks and meals and also cater to allergies. (I keep meals junk and sugar free) -Assistance with homework for school age children. -Daily activities catered to the age of the child (circle time, story time, crafts, sensory play, songs, and outdoor play): Arts - painting, plasticine, coloring and crafts. Make believe - doll center, play kitchen, dress up center,role-playing. Music and expression - music appreciation, introduction to, dance and singing. Theme-days - pajama days, costume days, favorite sport team etc. Fine motor skill development - puzzles, shape sort containers, proper holding of crayons. Physical development - outdoor play, ball play, riding toys, crawling tunnels, follow the leader. As a mother, I provide a warm, loving and caring home for my children.
