Hello, my name is Diane Hedlund. I’m a stay at home mom looking to provide a safe, friendly, active, learning environment to a child or two close in age with my daughter, Abbey, a beautiful child with Down Syndrome. Abbey is 5 and being homeschooled. She is a friendly, outgoing girl with a passion for life. I would love the opportunity to welcome a child or two into our daily routine. A typical day Just to give you an idea of some of the activities and care needs your child would receive if they were to learn and grow with Abbey and me: • Short lessons through interactive play regarding numbers, colors, and letters • Sign language • Music time (singing and playing instruments) • Craft time • Story time All throughout the day your child will be encouraged to learn communication skills, cognitive thinking, being respectful, healthy habits, and other behavioral practices, such as sharing, manners, taking turns, etc. through play and other interactive activities.
