I have had various forms of care related experience since the age of 12 rangingfrom babysitting to lead Pre-K teacher. For three years I worked as a lead counselor for the Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County (SRACLC). I have also worked at Mount St. Joseph's caring for elderly special needs women. For the three and a half years, I worked for the Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL) as a teacher assistant. I love helping children with special needs to reach their fullest potential. I see the good in every child I encounter. I have been working in a child care facility as a lead teacher for 3 years (3-year-old lead teacher, 4-year-olds lead teacher and Pre-K lead teacher). I have a degree in special education as a Learning Behavior Specialist. In addition to my professional background, I have a son that is going to be 2 in June. My ideal caregiving scenario would allow for me to bring my son with. I think it would be great for him and a same age child.
