Sitter in Ooltewah, Tennessee

Application: Hi, I'm Annie, I'm 19 years old. I am looking for a babysitting opportunity in Ooltewah, Tennessee but I'm willing to travel a bit. I've been told I'm reliable since I have never shown up late for a babysitting job - or any job that is. I'm available now and prefer to work early mornings to afternoons Monday-Friday. I'd be more comfortable meeting you and/or your child/children before my first day to get to know each other. Description of Skills: I am happy to help with play date supervision, and pet care. I have experience babysitting children with type one diabetes and children with autism and am used to worried parents messaging me to make sure their child is okay(don't worry it's understandable but I promise I would contact you if something went wrong). My CPR certification expired, but I'm great with applying bandaids and putting ice in a bag so your kids would be in good hands. I was a volunteer camp counselor for 3 years and have worked with groups of children of all ages and can honestly say that once you've managed to get thirteen hungry 7-year-olds to sit still at the same time, you can handle just about anything. Anyway, I have personal transportation available and I have over a year of experience. Extra things about me: I played softball for 8 years, and my parents had me involved in other sports as well. I love volunteer work and used to volunteer to help out with Buddy Baseball, an animal shelter, and most recently was a volunteer camp counselor which was the greatest experience of my life. I enjoy swimming, fishing, and just being outdoors. I'm very open to trying new things and fishing is something I've taken up on as a hobby this summer. I grew up in Illinois as a middle child in a family of five. I have a younger sister and an older brother and got used to babysitting my sister if my parents went anywhere. I get along well with my family and will be going back to Illinois to get my college degree. My first time in Tennessee was actually back in April and I fell in love with the change in scenery. I was so used to just seeing small hills versus the mountains here, and corn. Once you go out a certain point in Illinois it's just miles of corn rows and zero cell reception. Anyway, I decided to spend my summer here and have been trying to find a job but either they want overnight shifts or the spots filled up. I live with my boyfriend in his apartment so we share the car. I drive every morning with him to work at 5:30am and then I find ways to keep myself busy until 4pm when I go to pick him up. That also explains why early mornings to afternoons works best for my schedule. I'd also only be focused on the well-being of your children since I won't have any distractions. I'll be entering my second year of college this upcoming fall and am working toward a major in criminal justice. I'm still undecided on where exactly I want that to take me(social work or investigative work). I consider myself a hard worker and when I put my mind to something I want to see it through. I have a tendency to put others before me and go out of my way to help someone else if I can and I want to be able to spend my summer making sure your children have a great summer as well.
