Afternoon, I'm a active mother of two whom loves to be outdoors, being creative and love playing sports. I have my masters degree in art therapy and have had many classes regarding child development. I'm hoping by the end of this week I will have finished my final responsibility in gaining my infant and toddler credential. I have lots of experience in caring for multiple children at once and planning activities that engage a variant of age ranges. My personal nanny philosophy is more child directed in being creative, as well as nature based along with having a structured daily schedule of activities daily. I have previous experience with children with special needs such as autism, ADHD, Down's syndrome and a variety of developmental delays. My daughter is 5 years old who is attending pre-k this August in cedar grove. My youngest is two years old and he will be starting the toilet training process sometime in the next 6 months or so. He has yet to show to many signs of being ready for that adventure and mommy isn't quiet mentally ready for that adventure. Both are on wonderful schedules, yet flexible when needed, and very friendly with other children. I have been a children's behavior therapist and nanny for many years and have experience in many areas. Currently I am an infant teacher at a local daycare and am currently caring for 4-8 infants at any given time. Ages range from 4weeks to 15 months. My strengths with my current position is scheduling, encouraging language and feeling secure. In my past positions my strengths would be potty training, understanding challenging behaviors and teaching learning readiness skills for school. I feel I have a great understanding of the delicate balance of creating an environment that enriches and encourages a child's natural motivation to learn.
