Hi there! My name is Emily. I am a 21 year old Indigenous woman, currently residing in Oshawa, Ontario. I am a full-time Midwifery student and am currently on break until September. I am fully certified in Standard First Aid & CPR level C as well as Basic Life Support which includes infant CPR training. I am also 90% done my Labour and Birth Doula training. I also hold certification in food safe and can provide proof of all above qualifications. I can perform light meal prep/cooking, housekeeping, assisting in homework/education, activities, driving to and from school/extra curriculars (I have my own vehicle as well as my full G licence) and more! I am very passionate about children, healthcare, and overall well being. I also regularly like to update my knowledge on child development and how I can best help facilitate children to grow and thrive in their environments. I have been in university since 2019 and have taken a vast array of courses including but not limited to: developmental psychology, sociology, social work, women’s studies, and midwifery courses. From these different classes, I have gained lots of knowledge that I believe to be relevant in caring for children and families! I am very flexible with the hours I work as I am doing 2 online classes currently but will be finished by the end of this month. I am primarily looking for part time or occasional hours but can be flexible where it’s needed. I am happy to discuss whatever needs you may have so you can receive exactly what you had hoped for!
