Organic Daycare. Because kids should be...kids. :-) Kids being organic means that they get to be themselves and grow naturally. Hi! My name is Jeni and my goal is to provide that organic care. I have a passion to teach and nurture young children. As a child, my dream was to be an elementary school teacher. I didn't want to play Barbies, I was busy "grading papers". I have an Early Childhood Education background and two kids of my own. I come from a close family with four nieces and nephews to boot! I have worked with the State of Oregon for over 12 years. Six of those years were with the Child Welfare Program. Now that my daughter is two, I have the opportunity to embrace my dream, to teach young minds. I'd like to commit more time to my daughter while also enriching the lives of other toddlers. I am excited to participate in the USDA Healthy Meals for Kids program and provide healthy, organic meals. I am certified in First Aid/CPR/AED for adults, children and infants. I have completed all of the required course to be listed as a provider with DHS and am on the background registry with the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL). I am continuing my education as a daycare provider as well. As a parent, I know how important it is to be able to trust your daycare provider. I want to provide your family with the trust that makes it easier to have children in daycare. My home will be your child(ren)'s home. And it will always be open to you while I'm your provider. I have references available upon request as well as training records. I have a beautiful farmhouse in Mount Angel that I've converted parts into a preschool setting. I have a special room dedicated to be our "classroom". Here the children can engage in learning and building skills while having all of the fun and interaction a toddler needs. Studies show that the part of a child's brain that is capable of learning, develops the most up until age 5. My goal is to work with that and to nurture all that kids are capable of learning. Here are just a few things your child(ren) can look forward to: Pre-School curriculum including math, reading, games, writing, imaginary play, cooking, art, science and craft Planned weekly and monthly activities Supportive reading environment Incorporating organic gardening and composting Enclosed outdoor play area Swimming, if appropriate Day trips to places like State Parks, the library, AC Gilbert house, toddler friendly events I invite you to come out and take a tour of Organic Kids Daycare.
