Sitter in Hamilton, Ontario

I have had a hand in raising children quite consistently for the last 11 years, but for 13 years in total, caring for up to 4 children at a time with their ages ranging from infancy to 14 years of age. Three years ago, I took a pause from childcare as I was managing a retail store in a nearby city and working on-call for two stores at further locations. Two years ago, I relocated to a job just seven minutes away from my home, allowing me to care for my God daughter in a neighbouring town as her parents required me. A year and a half ago, my God son was born and I limited my availability at work to only 30 hours a week, spending every other second I had raising him as his second parent alongside his mother. With the birth of my niece, I moved from my home in Ontario to Blackfalds in order of helping my sister and brother-in-law. I am very much hoping to find a family to provide care for in their home. I have full availability, am quite comfortable with housekeeping, and have a passion for cooking. I am experienced with adults with both physical and mental disabilities, and with children with mental disabilities, and have a large interest in Occupational Therapy focusing on children's needs, so I am open to working with a family who has one or more children who require extra care and attention. I have a certificate in Autism Therapy, Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and am working on a course in Dyslexia Therapy.
