I am a 22-year-old full time waitress and full time adolescent psychology major. Growing up, I was the only child but was always surrounded by my cousins. When I was younger, I raised my little cousin due to the fact that my aunt had a drug problem. I raised him from about 5 months to 8 years old. I taught him how to read, write, count, name his colors, as well as play sports. Not only that, I also took part in helping with my mentally challenged aunt. I taught her hand games and how to paint her nails. My last part time job, I was hired to be an aid to a mentally challenged patient as well. Her name shall be kept confidential but I changed her diapers, fed her, washed dishes, changed her clothes, made her bed, and put her to sleep when it was time, as well as give her scheduled medicine.
