Sitter in Whitewater, Wisconsin

I have been around children for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a little girl I was always babysitting. I am 21 years old and I am graduating from UW-Whitewater in May. I am a social work major and a special education minor. I will be attending school to receive my Masters's degree in child welfare at George Williams College. During the school year, I work at an elementary school. I have been there for about three years and love working with children. As a supervisor, I take care of 100 kids during the day. When I am not working at the school I am working with homeless families in the Whitewater area. I have been working with homeless children and families for about three years. I also finished my internship where I worked with at-risk youth. I worked closely with the parenting program where teen moms are able to bring their children to school until they are four months old. This has given me the opportunity to experience diverse situations and working with a vulnerable population. I have experience working with able-bodied and non-able-bodied children. In the future I see myself working with children in a school setting. I have made the Deans list 3 times so far. I am very hardworking and committed to everything I do.
