Sitter in Grande Prairie, Alberta

I run a private unlicensed full day preschool (falls under the category of private babysitting in a private home) in my own home. I have a Bachelors' of Education, my permanent Alberta Teaching Certificate, am a member of the Early Childhood Education Council, have First Aid and clean criminal and child welfare checks. I accept fully potty trained children from ages 2 1/2-5. Hours of the program are M/W OR T/Th 9:30-2:30 (however we could look at combining the programs if you are interested. I'm able to differentiate programming effectively). Highlights of my program include: -Monthly newsletter -Monthly snack/meal schedule -Daily communication via an agenda -Home reading program -Homework incentive program -Traveling Teddy Bear -Monthly field trips -Daily outdoor/physical activity -Arts and Crafts -Music Instruction -Age/developmentally-apppropriate educational instruction -High focus on play and social interactions in a structured setting -Report Cards -Parent Teacher interviews The cost of the program is $300/month and includes 2 snacks and 1 meal per day. A meal/snack schedule is provided at the beginning of each month and is based off of Canada's Food Guide. Fees are the same for the months when a break is scheduled as breaks were taken into account when fees were developed. The program runs from September-June and all scheduled breaks follow Grande Prairie Public's calendar. Christmas break, Spring Break, and teacher's convention are the breaks I take. I also take off 1 day/class in November/late October as I attend an early childhood conference in Southern Alberta. I am the only teacher and in case of a sick day you will be notified ASAP and credited/refunded $40/day.
