Hi, Im Jen! I live in Campbell and currently studying Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University's graduate program. I bring my love of arts to every interaction. I enjoy helping kids foster their imagination and creativity. Energetic, fun, compassionate and genuine, I teach kids arts and crafts, play pretend, and make up games for them in a safe, uplifting environment. I love reading to kids and spending time outside. I'm happy to help with mealtime, laundry, pickup/drop off, and am capable of helping with homework– especially language arts classes. I have experience working with kids of all ages, and hold a strong background in volunteering. I've worked as an art teacher for grade school and high schoolers, and I recently served as a volunteer therapist at a summer camp for children with selective mutism and anxiety disorders. The most fulfilling volunteering I've done has been serving as a crisis counselor at The Trevor Project, providing support for LGBTQ youth in need. I understand how tough being an adolescent can be, especially during the pandemic. I enjoy babysitting for younger kids, but I also appreciate the opportunity to serve as a mentor for older children. I'm taking evening classes, so I'm looking for part time childcare work during the day/weekends (until my class schedule changes in January).
